Strategic Lead: Gaynor Rennie

Gaynor has been the English Hub Strategic Lead since 2018. Gaynor is passionate about all aspects of English and is delighted to be able to share this educational focus with other schools in the North West of England. When relaxing, Gaynor enjoys walking, interior design and renovation.

Hub Lead: Joshua Callaghan

Josh started the role of Hub Lead in September 2023. Having started as a partner school, trained as a Literacy Specialist and been through the whole process; he is passionate about the scope of the English Hub. Josh is an avid reader and enjoys long walks in the moors with his Weimaraner, Zephyr.

Deputy Hub Lead: Lisa Pearson

Lisa has been involved in school improvement for more than 20 years. From working alongside staff as a leading teacher for the local authority to her various roles within senior leadership. Lisa’s moral purpose is to get children reading and keep them reading! She is a keen reader herself and is often found in the school library discussing books with pupils. Lisa has been part of the English Hub programme from the beginning and feels immensely privileged to be part of such an amazing network of support for schools.

Hub Admin: Jen Wardle

Jen has worked for the English Hub since June 2022. Jen loves reading with her children every day and is passionate about supporting other children in their reading journey. She loves to visit the theatre in her spare time to see the latest musicals. 

Hub Admin: Kath Smith

Kath has worked for the English Hub from it's launch in 2018 and has enjoyed seeing it evolve and widen its support networks. Kath enjoys spending time with her two children who are both big readers when they're not busy visiting adventure parks.
